1 (Framura- Levanto) Bonassola - Levanto

Type: mule-tracks
Difficulty: easy
Time: 1,30 hours
Path: 2,4 Km

 

 

From the marine walk, east of Bonassola, we go up the Via Maxinara steps; after the carriage street, go up trought the village of Poggio.
The path continues through olive groves and vegetable gardens up to the Scernio saddle, where it goes down until Levanto can be seen. Between olive groves, meadows and eventually pine-trees, the path reaches Vallesanta, west of Levanto

 

 

 

1a Bonassola - Madonnina (blue walks)

Type: carriage roads
Difficulty: easy
Time: 30 minutes
Path: 1 Km

From the steps of the S. Erasmo Oratory, which overlooks the beach on the west, you reach the carriage road (cemetery) and go to the church sheer above the sea


 

 

1b Bonassola - Salto della Lepre - Carpeneggio (blue walks)

Time: 1h 30m
Path: 3 Km

 

Follow path I and walk for 80m after the cemetary. Go up the steps and walk along a short dirt track. From here, the path is flat until the remains of military posts, and then goes uphill among pine-trees.
After reaching a large plateau, turn left and then right, you pass by a riuned house. Here the wide path passes through pine-trees up to the Carpeneggio saddle.

 

 

1(Framura- Levanto)  Bonassola - Carpeneggio (blue walks)

Follow path I to the cemetary, turn right and follow the carriage road for 150m where there is a asphalted uphill road on the left.



Carpeneggio - Framura (Setta)

Path: 4,5 Km

From the Carpeneggio saddle, go down west along a wide path for about 70m, and then follow the right path, marked "FRAMURA". Walk along a flat path for 200m, and then climb through holm oaks and pine trees to the vine terraces of Salice. From the abandoned houses, go down the path towards the sea; after a few gentle bends, the path turns sharply west and you reach the Valle delle Lame stream. After a short uphill stretch, the path becomes a series of gentle rises and falls up to the asphalted road which leads to Framura station. From here, following the signs, go through the village of Anzo and by taking a long flight of steps, you reach Ravecca. Climb another 200m to reach Setta, where the Framura town hall is.

 

 

 

 

 

2 Bonassola - Punta del Carlino

Path: 500 metres

Following the marine parade rightwards, you reach the old railway tunnel and climb the steps on the right.
The path follows the line between the pine woods and the rocks underneath, up to the top, where a magnificent view can be enjoyed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3 Bonassola - Montaretto (blue walks)

Path: 2,1 Km

From under the railway bridge, take the uphill road along the tracks. Go up the steps and after 200m, cross the carriage road again. Go up the steep path for about 350m up to "Ciņ" planes, surrounded by a wall; walk for a further 400m where you find fork 3/4, which connects with path 4. Walk along the banks of the S. Giorgio stream for a short distance: a wide path through the pine-trees leads to the old and picturesque village of Montaretto, where you can find path 4 north of the Church.

 

 

 

 

 

4 Bonassola - Serra - Costella - Montaretto

Path: 3,1 Km

From the railway station, go uphill to the 16th century castle and, up the steps, you reach Serra. After the carriage road, go along a short mule-track, and then back to the carriage road. Follow the carriage road, to the village of Costella, and then go down the path on the left until, after 300m, you reach the Church of S. Giorgio and after a further 50m, the 3/4 connection with path 3.
Go along the carriage road for 600m and, after the third bend, go up a few steps to a beautiful mule-track, which, after S. Giorgio's stream, leads after 500m to Montaretto village. Near the church, there is path 3, which leads back to Bonassola.

 

 

 

 

5 Serra - Scernio

Path: 1,4 Km

Along path 4, after Serra village, walk 150 m on the carriage road and after the first bend you find a path on the right, after a short distance, cross a romanic bridge over Rossola stream. After a short uphill stretch, walk the mountain side path across Mount Rossola to the village of Scernio, where you find path I, connecting Bonassola and Levanto.
